Presented Surf Coaching Seminar in Matosinhos, Portugal – 1st-2nd September
Martin travelled to Matosinhos, Portugal late August to present a two day surf coaching seminar – on “Evaluating Surfing Performances” in conjunction with the Norte Surf Festival held in that Portuguese city. Eighteen surf coaches from Portugal and other European countries attended. The seminar was created by Martin to provide professional development information for existing surf coaches in the areas of evaluating:
- Surfing Technique – Foundational manoeuvres
- Surfing Technique – Advanced manoeuvres
- Surfing Decisions when Surfing
- Competition Performances
- Self-evaluations by the surfers themselves.
